Profession: Premier Field Engineer for Microsoft 

 

What are your hobbies outside of work: Working on cars, Ballroom dancing, Running, Fixing broken things

 

What first attracted you to our program: ATC is focused on changing people’s lives by teaching them about cars, two things I am passionate about.

 

What made you want to volunteer with us: Working on cars had a big impact on me when I was young and taught me a lot of the principals I use today in my daily life, I am grateful for the gifts I’ve been given and would like to share what has been given to me and hopefully have a positive impact on people’s lives.

 

What do you want to see happen as a result of you volunteering: I’d like everyone at ATC to enjoy their experience working on cars, I’d like everyone to learn something new and come out with a positive view for the future.

 

What are 3 things you would bring with you on a road trip: My car(Obviously), an extra 5 gallons of gas and a GoPro

Current position and company: Training Instructor, Porsche Cars North America


What are your hobbies outside of work: I enjoy working on cars. I currently have a VW Rabbit project I’m building. I also enjoy outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, and archery. 

 

What first attracted you to our program: The first thing I saw about ATC was a promo video on social media. The concept of investing in the future of at-risk youth while filling an industry need is a topic I was very familiar with. 

 

What made you want to volunteer with us: My personal connection to the place that ATC is currently located. It’s where my journey began when I decided to take being a technician seriously.  

 

What do you want to see happen as a result of you volunteering: I’d like to see the success of the students who attend ATC.  

 

What are 3 things you would bring with you on a road trip: 1. Friends  2. Snacks. 3.My iPhone

Name: Damon Corn

 

Current position and company: Pull-A-Part  E-Commerce Division

 

What are your hobbies outside of work: Working on Hot Rods and anything Do-It-Yourself around my house

 

What first attracted you to our program: ATC is focused on helping people who need it, one person, one car at a time.

 

What made you want to volunteer with us: I spent much of my life in the at-risk category. It's been a long time since I walked that road and one of the ways I keep moving in the right direction is by giving back.

 

What do you want to see happen as a result of you volunteering: I'd like to see the young people there who go through the program learn a good trade, develop a fun hobby, and realize maybe for the first time in their lives they have value and something to offer the world around them.

 

What are 3 things you would bring with you on a road trip: A jack, a lug wrench, and a spare tire.
